What are the differences between “Invention” and “Inventor” ?

Pursuant to Article 1 Number 2 of the Patent Law No. 13 of 2016 Invention is an Inventor’s idea that is poured into a specific problem solving activity in the field of technology in the form of products, processes, or improvements of product or process development.

Based on Article 1 Number 3 of the Patent Law No. 13 of 2016 – Inventor is a person or some people who jointly carry out ideas that are poured into activities that produce an invention

Thus, “Invention” is related to the ideas of the inventor which is set forth for specific problem solving activities in the field of technology (such as products, processes or improvements and development of the product or process). Meanwhile, “Inventor” is a person who implements or realizes an idea into an activity that produces an invention.
